Marketing and Events Strategist and Leadership Development Facilitator
As Business Development Manager and Personal Brand Coach at the Sydney School of Protocol, Marlous brings over 10 years of experience in customer and client engagement and service excellence to the team.
Marlous has built her expertise in business development and marketing, most notably in customer relations, business strategy, social media engagement, and cross-cultural communications for SMEs, government and Universities.
With a strong focus on people engagement in events for the community and for young professionals, Marlous has been a mentor and advisor for various not for profit organisations including the Cancer Council NSW, Initiatives of Change, Rotaract and Rotary.
With a passion for entrepreneurship, lifelong learning, leadership development, Marlous founded Empower Movement to support small businesses with marketing and events. Marlous was the President of the Rotaract Club of Macquarie University for 2014-2015 and actively volunteers her time as a Rotary Youth Leadership Awards Facilitator, a leadership training conference for young leaders. She is an active Rotaractor and has fundraised for charities including Cancer Council NSW, One Girl Foundation, Human and the Hope Association in Cambodia and Youth Off The Streets.
Marlous holds a BBA in Asian Trade Management from Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences, a Masters in Commerce in Marketing and Business Management from Macquarie University, a Diploma of Interpreting in Mandarin, and a Diploma of Events from Sydney TAFE.
